When it's needed

Reconstruction is for mouths where the problems are connected: teeth worn down from grinding, a bite that has collapsed, several failing crowns, missing teeth that let others drift. Fixing one tooth at a time rarely works in these cases, because each repair is fighting the same underlying problem.

One plan, start to finish

We begin by finding the right bite, the position where your jaw, muscles and teeth work together. Every crown, veneer and implant is then designed to that bite and to your face. You see the planned result before treatment begins.

Restoring and saving teeth

Reconstruction isn't the same as replacing every tooth. Dr. Aminov's approach is to keep natural teeth wherever they can be saved and restore them, using implants only where a tooth is truly lost. The result is a smile that looks new and a bite that's comfortable again.

Is it right for you

Good candidates

You may be a good fit for Smile Reconstruction if any of these sound familiar. The only way to know for sure is a scan and an exam at our Brentwood or Burbank office.

  • Your teeth are worn, short or cracked from grinding
  • Your bite feels off or your jaw is sore
  • Several crowns or fillings are failing at once
  • You have a mix of missing, damaged and stained teeth

Questions

About Smile Reconstruction

How is this different from a smile makeover?

A makeover changes how the smile looks. Reconstruction also rebuilds the bite and the health of the teeth underneath.

How long does it take?

Anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on whether implants or gum treatment are involved.

Will I have teeth throughout?

Yes. You wear well-made temporaries between phases.

Can it be done in stages?

Often, yes. We can phase treatment to fit your schedule and budget.
