All-on-X
When a standard four or six implant layout doesn't fit, the number and angle of implants are set by your scan, not a formula.
Based in Brentwood & Burbank · Serving Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Glendale & PasadenaWhat the X means
X is the number of implants your case needs. It might be five because one site won't hold an implant, or more than six because a strong bite needs extra support. Every position and angle is planned on your 3D scan before surgery day.
Complex and second-opinion cases
Some of our patients come to us after implants placed elsewhere have failed, or after being told they aren't candidates at all. All-on-X lets your doctor work around damaged areas, previous implants or uneven bone instead of forcing a standard layout onto them.
Working with specialists
A small number of cases need specialized implants anchored in the cheekbone or deep in the upper jaw. When that's the right answer, your doctor will plan it with a surgical specialist so you still have one team managing your care.
Good candidates
You may be a good fit for All-on-X if any of these sound familiar. The only way to know for sure is a scan and an exam at our Brentwood or Burbank office.
- Your bone loss is uneven or severe
- You have a heavy bite or grind your teeth
- A previous implant or bridge has failed
- You've been told you aren't a candidate for implants
What to expect
- First visit
Consultation
A private visit with your doctor. We take a 3D CBCT scan, photos and a digital impression, then talk through what you want your smile to look like.
- Before surgery
Planning
Your doctor places every implant on the scan, checks bone depth and nerve position, and designs the shape, length and shade of your teeth.
- Surgery day
Surgery day
Teeth that can't be saved are removed and the implants are placed, with sedation if you prefer. A fixed temporary arch is attached before you leave.
- 3 to 6 months
Healing
Over the next three to six months the implants fuse to the bone. You eat softer foods and come in for short check-ins.
- Final fitting
Final arch
We scan again and make your permanent zirconia bridge, then fit and fine-tune it. Cleanings and checkups continue with the same office.

About All-on-X
How is All-on-X different from All-on-6?
All-on-6 follows a set layout. All-on-X uses whatever number and position of implants your anatomy calls for.
Will I get teeth the same day?
When the bone holds the implants firmly enough, yes. If it needs time to heal first, your doctor will tell you before anything is scheduled.
Does it cost more?
It depends on the number of implants and any extra procedures. You'll get an exact written quote after your scan.
Can you fix implants done elsewhere?
Often. Bring any records you have to the consultation and we'll review them with your scan.
